Home Reset
You don't need to finish everything tonight. You only need your home to work well enough for now.
Start with what needs to work
Use your own sense of enough for now as the reference point.
Not ideal. Not finished. Just workable for what you still need from home tonight.
Ask:
What needs to work right now, but doesn't?
Do the physical work that would make that function usable. Use whatever order makes sense. You do not have to finish a room or deal with everything else you notice.
After you make a useful change, check again:
Is your home working well enough for now?
If not, ask what still needs to work and continue from there.
If yes, stop.
Other things can stay undone.
If you're stuck
Don't plan the whole reset.
Ask:
What exactly is blocking the next useful action?
Handle only enough of it to make the next useful action possible.
Then go back to the main reset.
Return to the resetIf you need to stop
You can stop before your home is enough for now.
Leave the immediate situation safe and avoid making the return harder.
If you'll need a cue to know where to pick up later, leave only the minimum cue you need.
Then stop.
When you come back, use I'm coming back.
Go to re-entryIf you're coming back
Don't restart from the beginning.
If things are basically as you left them, continue with the nearest useful action.
If things changed while you were away, keep the same enough for now in mind. Ask what still needs to work now. Drop anything that no longer matters, then continue from there.
Return to the resetIf you already know you have a hard limit
Work within the limit you already know is real.
It may change how much you can do this time. It does not change what enough for now means.
If the limit makes you stop before you get there, use I need to stop and return later.
If something is physically in the way
If one local placement or access problem is blocking a function you need, fix only enough to make that function usable.
Don't turn it into an organizing project.
Then go back to the main reset.
